What kind of events and happenings are you hoping for...?
It's Dom's first mission on the ground since he got benched, is it not? That's enough to set you on edge alone. When he's back, you're responsible for explaining to him that his sister isn't veiled or, based on what you've just said, dead perhaps, just in Arg[...] undercover and currently compromised. [...] You're also clearly feeling overwhelmed by everything that's happening, whether it's about those two things or if you're feeling down about the general state of the world which begins with 'end of' or 'post-apocalyptic.' All of that is understandable, but none of it lends itself to the description of 'fine.'
[…] Is it that impossible to imagine a world in which you admit it and I’m able to help you feel at least a little better about it? […] I’m not going to pretend like I can fix your problems, and I know you can get through anything that comes up, but I do think talking things through, or asking for a distraction, or, for those of us who like that sort of thing, a hug, can all help immensely when I’m upset about something.

Sometimes meI don't have much to talk about.2/19, DM.

[...]
Just be direct with her. And don't take it personally if she does or says anything. Or doesn't do or say anything.
2/19, DM.
I won't take it personally. I'm not that sensitive.
2/19, DM.
I was trying to be reassuring.
2/19, DM.
Ah. Let me reread it. [...] I won't. It's not about me, anyway.
2/19, DM.
Too many things have been happening.
2/19, DM.
Far too many things. Not all of them bad, at least.
2/19, DM.
Not all bad, but I don't think I was built for this much stuff.
2/19, DM.
Yeah?
2/19, DM.
Do you ever miss[...] It's just a lot of work. Which is, of course, my enemy. How do you think you're going to tell Sloane?
2/19, DM.
I think you handle it pretty well. Not without complaint, but.
Someone smarter than me suggested that I simply be direct with her. So. That, probably.
2/19, DM.
Don't really have a choice.
Let's hope that person is right, otherwise there are going to be four people suffering for it.
2/19, DM.
What would you be doing if you did have a choice?
Four?
2/19, DM.
Not dealing with all this shit all the time.
Dom, me, Sloane, you. I guess maybe some other people as collateral damage. Hell, could be the whole ship.
2/19, DM.
[...] Is there anything I can do?
I know you dLet's hope there's no collateral damage at all.
2/19, DM.
No. I'm fine.
If this goes even close to smooth I'm going to be proud of myself for five whole minutes.
2/19, DM.
Sometimes you're not actually that good at lying.
Ten, at least.
2/19, DM.
How do you know I'm not fine?
Maybe. Five for each adequate 'your dead family member is not, in fact, dead' conversation.
